I think there’s a touch of psycholinguistics going on there. Mostly cobblers (ooh isn’t that a word that perfectly conveys the sense of rubbish – NOT – conveys somthing about shoe makers) if you ask me.
In an alternative universe, lethargic means energetic. Just swap the words often enough and we’ll think that way too.
