I’ve finally got round to playing with my eee. I backed everything up to the SD card and decided to restore factory settings, which I haven’t actually done. I had planned to try out a wifi drive from madwifi.org but thought why not go back to scratch. The good news, wifi works once more :-D Feeling happy. I can also upgrade the bios more easily from easy mode and I can take advantage of some of the eee development eg there seems to be scripts available now for enabling advanced mode rather than the scarier “I’ll just follow these instructions and keep my fingers crossed” approach. That was all fun and I learnt stuff but looking forward to starting from scratch and playing with other stuff. Having wifi restored is a happy event.
