Despite having too many devices and spaces and appetite for things in e I continue to buy things in p. I can happily buy books in e, though it tends to be fiction and without pictures. For novels at least. I also subscribe to a few magazines via the zinio app on my tablet. I’m just coming to the realisation that in the last week I have bought close to 10 books…in print:
- Snowpiercer vols 1 & 2 – recently translated to english from the 30 year old french Le Transperceneige and I enjoyed the film version at filmfest
- Saga vol 3 – I’ve read the Hugo winning vol 1 and and am about commence part 2, then spotted part 3 on the weekend
- The Truth is a Cave in the Black Mountains – this is the new one from Neil Gaimain and I spotted it in Better Read Than Dead on the weekend (along with Saga v3 and the next book)
- SMH 2014 Good Cafe Guide – in which my old local, Coffee Alchemy, has been awarded best coffee for the 4th year running
- Golden Age Captain America Omnibus Volume 1 – cause I’m a sucker for chunky collections of Captain America and this one runs to a massive 848 pages
- Dark Avengers – admittedly I’m a sucker for anything Captain America-related though it has to be in hardcover at least
- Siege – the comments for Dark Avengers strongly suggested that Siege should be read alongside it
- Le relationi universali di Giovanni Botero Benese – blogged about it yesterday and decided to buy the facsimile
- The Wool Trilogy by Hugh Howey – admittedly, I pre-ordered this a few months ago but it arrived yesterday
